After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake View, the Green Sea Floyds Trojans were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Hannah-Pamplico 44-30. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Green Sea Floyds was the better team in the second half.
Green Sea Floyds' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shantavia Hilliard, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Hilliard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tanisha Myers, who dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and ten steals.
Green Sea Floyds has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Latta the next time they take the court. Green Sea Floyds will host the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
