Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Ridge Point Panthers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of the Texans by a score of 31-28. Ridge Point's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Ridge Point still got an impressive performance from Austin Carlisle, who rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 246 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Drummer, who gained 114 total yards and a touchdown.
Lamar got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Reaves out in front who rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 134 yards and a touchdown. Enrico Moore espinoza also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.
Ridge Point's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Lamar, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Ridge Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lamar will face off against Atascocita at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
