After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Gresham finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of the Roseburg Indians by a score of 3-1. The Gophers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Gresham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daya Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Gresham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Roseburg, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gresham beat the Indians by a score of 7-3 later that day.
