Hugoton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Ulysses Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hugoton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ulysses in Kansas (Hugoton is ranked 11th, while Ulysses is ranked 150th).
Last Tuesday, Hugoton earned a 50-37 win over Scott.
Ulysses can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Wichita County by a score of 57-50. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but Ulysses was the better team in the second half.
Hugoton is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Ulysses' record is now 5-8.
Everything came up roses for Hugoton against Ulysses in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 68-22 victory. Will Hugoton repeat their success, or does Ulysses have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
