The Eaglecrest Raptors will face off against the Arapahoe Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Eaglecrest will be strutting in after a victory while Arapahoe will be coming in after a loss.
Eaglecrest's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Mullen. The game was the first time the Raptors have beaten the Mustangs on their field since May 5, 2022.
Eaglecrest got a great performance from Cosme Vera as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Vera has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Braden Elliott, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Eaglecrest: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Landen Holmes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe faced Cherry Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors lost 12-1 to the Bruins. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since March 14th.
Arapahoe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Dollaghan, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Arapahoe has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for Eaglecrest, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Eaglecrest hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Arapahoe struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Eaglecrest was able to grind out a solid victory over Arapahoe in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 9-4. Do the Raptors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
