Boonsboro had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Loudoun Valley on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 17-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Boonsboro's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Loudoun Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boonsboro will square off against Catoctin at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Loudoun Valley, they will take on Dominion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
