The Lakeview Bulldogs are on the road again on Thursday and play against East at 6:15 p.m. on December 7th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Monday, Lakeview suffered a rough 51-27 loss at the hands of Harding.
Despite the defeat, Lakeview saw an underclassman step up: Mackenzie Stowe scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, East was the victim of a rough 57-31 defeat at the hands of Howland on Monday.
Lakeview's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Lakeview didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against East in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
