When it comes to explaining why Flat Rock lost, one person who can't be blamed is Addi Kopp. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with three steals. Kopp has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Klein, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Flat Rock struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Riverview racked up 12 assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Averi Westbay, who scored six points along with five rebounds and five steals. Westbay hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Poe, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Flat Rock's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Riverview, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Flat Rock will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Jefferson is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Riverview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Airport is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
