Murtaugh is 1-7 against Camas County since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Murtaugh Red Devils will look to defend their home court against the Camas County Mushers at 7:30 p.m. Murtaugh will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Camas County is ranked 12th).
Last Friday, Murtaugh was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to Hagerman.
Meanwhile, Camas County put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 54-46 win over Liberty Charter.
Emmett Palan was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Palan also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Tews, who scored ten points.
Murtaugh's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Camas County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
