If the Voyager Vikings were riding high off their 81-40 takedown of the Chatham Charter Knights last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Voyager suffered a rough 81-56 loss at the hands of Wilson Prep on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David McMillon, who scored 14 points. Dwight Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Voyager's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wilson Prep, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Voyager will head out on the road to face off against Southern Durham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilson Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northampton County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
