The Cactus Shadows Falcons will face off against the Marcos de Niza Padres at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marcos de Niza took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cactus Shadows, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Cactus Shadows turned things around against Saguaro on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Sabercats 3-2.
Cactus Shadows had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 15-13.

Cactus Shadows relied on the efforts of Addysen Bennyhoff, who had six digs and two aces, and Jordyn Fairfield, who had nine digs and one assist. Those six digs gave Bennyhoff a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Marcos de Niza came up short against Mesquite on Monday, falling 3-0. The Padres have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
While Marcos de Niza was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-10.
Marcos de Niza's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Cactus Shadows, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
