Basketball Recap: Palm Harbor University Skates Past Tarpon Springs with Ease

The third road match was the charm for Palm Harbor University, as they earned their first road win of the season. They blew past the Tarpon Springs Spongers 60-32 on Tuesday. The Hurricanes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spongers, too.

Palm Harbor University found their leader in sophomore Grahm Pitcock, who posted 11 points along with five assists and five boards. Pitcock also set a new season-high mark in steals with four. Giordan Gainey was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Palm Harbor University smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in four consecutive games.

Palm Harbor University's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Tarpon Springs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Palm Harbor University didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-52 loss against Gulf on the 9th. As for Tarpon Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 81-32 defeat against Osceola on the 10th.
