The Palmetto Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Miami Stingarees at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmetto has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 464 points over their last six games.
Palmetto pushed their score all the way to 77 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 78-77 to Ferguson.
Palmetto might have lost, but man, Santiago Henriquez was a machine: he scored 40 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Henriquez scored a full 51.9% of Palmetto's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samfree Sarante, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Miami waltzed into their contest Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They really took it to South Miami for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-33 win at home. The result was nothing new for Miami, who have now won four matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
Palmetto has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Miami, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.
