The Boonsboro Warriors entered their tilt with the Smithsburg Leopards with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Boonsboro took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-0 victory over Smithsburg. Considering Boonsboro has won five matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boonsboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chad Wyand, who rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Parker Debaugh was another key contributor, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Boonsboro's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31 points. As for Smithsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Boonsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Smithsburg will head out on the road to face off against Allegany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Allegany presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Smithsburg in Maryland (Allegany is ranked 28th, while Smithsburg is ranked 172nd).
