Sewickley Academy lost against Quaker Valley in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-42 score last time.
Joey Coyle was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 30 points along with 6 assists. Another player making a difference was Sam Chapman, who scored 8 points.
Sewickley Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Quaker Valley, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sewickley Academy will face off against Cornell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quaker Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Knoch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
