Ralls was the  16-8 winner over Petersburg when they last played one another  last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Ralls Jackrabbits took  a  24-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Petersburg Buffaloes on Tuesday.
  Mercedez Alcala and  Destiny Garza stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Alcala  went 5-for-6 with six  RBI, three  runs,  and one  double, while  Garza  got on base  in five of her six plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  Garza has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Natalie Johnson, who  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  home run and two  runs.
Ralls has  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record  this season. Petersburg moved to 1-8 with that  victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ralls will square off against Liberty at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Ralls has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Petersburg, they will take on Sudan at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
