Rio Hondo Prep has not had much luck with the Dolphins recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Rio Hondo Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derek David, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that David pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Dang, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Rio Hondo Prep dropped their record down to 7-13 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Chadwick, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-15.
Rio Hondo Prep will take on the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Classical Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Chadwick, they will head out on the road to challenge the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Providence presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Dolphins in California (the Pioneers are ranked 257th, while the Dolphins are ranked 1098th).
