The Milano Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Iola Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Milano is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Round Top-Carmine on Friday. Milano never let Round Top-Carmine get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.
Round Top-Carmine's batters probably weren't too happy with Jesus Reyes, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up a single walk). What's more, Reyes gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Jackson Reyes was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Taylor Wall also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Milano always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Iola got the win against Somerville on Friday by a conclusive 16-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.
The team relied heavily on Colin Fowler, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Longoria, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Iola's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Milano, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 7-5-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Milano has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. However, it's not like Iola struggles in that department as they've averaged .441. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
