The Munroe Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Munroe is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Even though Munroe has not done well against Arnold recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Munroe came out on top against Arnold by a score of 51-38. The victory was just what Munroe needed coming off of a 50-30 loss in their prior matchup.
Mya Mccullar was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Aj Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Lincoln waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Godby 64-36 at home. Lincoln has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 23 points or more this season.
Munroe's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Munroe was taken down by Lincoln 66-25 when the teams last played on Monday. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Munroe was down 34-10.
