After a string of four wins, Cousino's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. Their2024 ended with a 57-39 loss against the L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 56-55 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Cousino's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. As for L'Anse Creuse North, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cousino will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grosse Pointe North at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. L'Anse Creuse North and Walled Lake Northern will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
