After two games on the road, South Adams is heading back home. They will take on the Fort Recovery Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Adams focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, South Adams was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Adams Central.
Defeat or not, South Adams got some senior leadership from Liz Gerber who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals and Macy Pries who scored 23 points along with two steals. That was a full 50% of South Adams' points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Fort Recovery scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 63-53 victory over St. John's. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fort Recovery.
South Adams has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Fort Recovery, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
South Adams was able to grind out a solid victory over Fort Recovery in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 46-35. Does South Adams have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fort Recovery turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
