Lighthouse College Prep Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-2.
It was another big night for Victoria Velez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 steals for Whiting. Velez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Quinones, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
Lighthouse College Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Whiting, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5-1.
