Castleberry is 0-7 against Krum since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Castleberry Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Krum Bobcats at 6:15 p.m. Castleberry comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Castleberry suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Springtown, falling 52-17. Castleberry has not had much luck with Springtown recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Krum beat Bridgeport 34-29 on Friday.
Castleberry has been struggling recently, as they've lost 15 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Krum, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Castleberry was dealt a bruising 57-11 defeat at the hands of Krum in their previous matchup on January 5th. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Castleberry was down 31-5.
