He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Kayden Gibson looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
Back at the plate, East Rockingham got a massive performance out of Colin Root, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave Root a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Jenkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
East Rockingham pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games.
