Given Rowan County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while West Carter is ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jayson Ingles was a one-man wrecking crew for Rowan County as he scored 17 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ingles has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Mirus, who scored nine points.
Rowan County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for West Carter, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rowan County will take on Blazer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rowan County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 198 points over their last three games. As for West Carter, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Raceland at 7:30 p.m. West Carter is coming into the matchup with five straight defeats at home, meaning Raceland will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
