Lawrence Academy hadn't done well against Halifax Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lawrence Academy Warriors took their game with ease, bagging a 63-36 victory over the Halifax Academy Vikings. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Lawrence Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaslene Etheridge, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Etheridge's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Smith, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Lawrence Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Halifax Academy only posted eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why Halifax Academy lost, don't look at Carolina Corum. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Corum a new career-high in blocks (four).

Lawrence Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Halifax Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Lawrence Academy will head out to challenge Ridgecroft at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Halifax Academy, they will welcome Fayetteville Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
