Shadow Mountain hasn't had much luck against Greenway recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Matadors will look to defend their home field against the Demons at 4:00 p.m. Shadow Mountain has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Shadow Mountain fell victim to Paradise Honors and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 18-0 to the Panthers.
Meanwhile, Greenway came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Bears.
Madison Bailey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Isabelle Chandler was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Bella Morris was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Shadow Mountain has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .533. However, it's not like Greenway struggles in that department as they've averaged .526. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Shadow Mountain might still be hurting after the 19-0 loss they got from Greenway when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Matadors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
