When it comes to explaining why Spring Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joshua Nelson. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Temoney, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Jaylon Hoover was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds for Clover. Owen Galeota was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Clover, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Spring Valley will head out on the road to challenge Nation Ford at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Nation Ford is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Clover, they will be playing at home against Fort Mill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 54.3 so far this season, Fort Mill's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Clover better be ready for a challenge.
