Hampton Roads Academy hasn't had much luck against Cape Henry Collegiate recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Navigators will look to defend their home field against the Dolphins at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Hampton Roads Academy needed a bit of extra time to put away Catholic. They put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 12-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Navigators, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Graham Hutchens was incredible, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Tyler Motley was another key player, going 3-for-6 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Cape Henry Collegiate waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Saints.
Noah Hummel looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Reid Downs, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Chris Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Cape Henry Collegiate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nansemond-Suffolk Academy only posted an OBP of .323.
Cape Henry Collegiate pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hampton Roads Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.
