The Clemens Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell to Judson 40-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clemens in their matchups with Judson: they've now lost nine in a row.
Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Atiana Cook, who scored seven points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Duda Igiehon, who scored 11 points.
Clemens has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-16 record this season. As for Judson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 27-6.
Clemens will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against New Braunfels at 7:00 p.m. Clemens is coming into the game with four straight defeats at home, so New Braunfels is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Judson, they will head out on the road to challenge San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Marcos will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Judson is ranked 14th).
