Basketball Recap: Daleville Takes Down Tri-Central in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Daleville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victor by a 53-29 margin over the Tri-Central Trojans on Tuesday. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.

Daleville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Modlene Campbell, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, Campbell also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Addisyn Gothrup was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Daleville has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.9 points over those games. As for Tri-Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Daleville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-27 win against Cowan on the 7th. Tri-Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
