Constitution State recap October 8, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Constitution State this week, Prince RVT beat Bullard-Havens 25-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Falcons.
Platt RVT was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 12th to ninth in the league. The Panthers vanquished Abbott RVT 21-20 earlier in the week.
Collin Jandreau was a passing and rushing force as Wilcox RVT topped Wolcott RVT. He completed 10 passes for 258 yards and also ran for 169 yards. Jandreau's key target this week was Jack Berryman, who caught 2 passes for 135 yards.
Rayshawn Phillips threw for 255 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Jandreau was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 169 yards on 21 carries as the Indians beat the Wildcats. Tavion Jackson also contributed to the rushing game with 45 yards on the ground.
Capital Prep/Classical Magnet/Achievement First's Phillips and Nasir Williams have formed a dream team this season, leading Constitution State in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Phillips has thrown for 621 yards this season, while Williams has 7 catches for 226 yards. The Tigers' Chris McNamara leads the league in rushing yards with 549.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Putnam/Tourtellotte Memorial/Ellis RVT takes on Cheney RVT. The Pride are currently in sixth, while the Beavers are in second.
Whitney RVT fell to East Hampton/Vinal RVT 41-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hubert Wearing was a bright spot for the Owls, as he in the loss.
