Even though the Highland Trojans have not done well against the Lowell Red Devils recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Highland narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lowell 41-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Highland also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Walter Glover jr, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kurtlin Hayes, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.
Highland now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lowell, they bumped their record down to 2-11 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will take on Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Lowell, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Knox at 7:00 p.m.
