After a string of four wins, the McKeel Academy Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sebring. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (62), McKeel Academy still had to take the loss.
McKeel Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alex Sessoms, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Vann Osmon who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Osmon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Jonsson, who scored five points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Dyveon Collymore was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals for Sebring. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Gregory, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
McKeel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Sebring, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
McKeel Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Excel Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Excel Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Sebring, they will take on Mariner at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Marcus Kelley Jr and KJ Turner.
