Longmont has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Silver Creek Raptors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Longmont put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Greeley West 57-26 on the road. The victory was just what Longmont needed coming off of a 56-34 loss in their prior matchup.
Longmont can attribute much of their success to Kaila Patterson, who scored 30 points, and Savannah Pohl, who dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 13 rebounds, and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Rulon, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Even though Silver Creek has not done well against Greeley Central recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Silver Creek came out on top against Greeley Central by a score of 54-44. The win was just what Silver Creek needed coming off of a 78-37 defeat in their prior matchup.
Longmont has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Silver Creek, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.
Everything came up roses for Longmont against Silver Creek when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 49-22 victory. Does Longmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Silver Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
