Flagstaff posted their closest  win since October 4, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mingus Marauders, sneaking past  24-21. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
 Flagstaff's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Teyan Clerry, who rushed for 89 yards and one  TD. Clerry also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making two total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging  an  interception.
Flagstaff's  victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Mingus, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the  loss, which was their ninth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
