Pembroke Pines Charter lost to Coral Glades back in March of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. Pembroke Pines Charter sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Coral Glades. While Pembroke Pines Charter didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Pembroke Pines Charter got a great performance from Kareliz Castillo as she pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. Castillo has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pembroke Pines Charter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Destiney Ortega, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Natalia Vento also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Pembroke Pines Charter and bumps their season record up to 5-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Coral Glades, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Pembroke Pines Charter has already played their next contest, a 14-0 win against Pompano Beach on the 10th. As for Coral Glades, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-3 defeat against Spanish River on the 9th.
