The Greenbrier Bobcats entered their tilt with the White House Blue Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Greenbrier came out on top against White House by a score of 66-57 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Greenbrier got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nolan Carson out in front who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 16 rebounds, and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Carson posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Nate Castleman, who scored 18 points.
White House's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Hill, who scored 14 points along with three steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Hill posted two or more blocks. Dawson Carson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Greenbrier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for White House, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
Greenbrier will head out on the road to challenge Station Camp at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for White House, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Portland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Portland is ranked 151st, while White House is ranked 130th).
