Basketball Recap: Kiley Normandin Key Part of a Team Effort in Storm Win

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy lost to Trinity School of Texas back in February of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trinity School of Texas Titans, sneaking past 31-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Storm.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kiley Normandin out in front who posted ten points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Normandin is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Lexi Ervin was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy's record is now 6-4. As for Trinity School of Texas, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy will take on Poetry Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy is facing Poetry Community Christian at the right time seeing as Poetry Community Christian is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Trinity School of Texas, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th.
