The Peyton Panthers won the last time they faced the Fowler Grizzlies, and things went their way on Friday too. Peyton snuck past Fowler with a 54-50 victory.
Peyton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Perry, who scored 22 points along with six assists. Perry is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Gatti, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Peyton's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Fowler, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peyton will face off against Swallows Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Swallows Charter Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Thursday. As for Fowler, Fowler and Crowley County will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
