The Twin Valley Wildcats will stay at home for another game and welcome the Woodstock Wasps at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Twin Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Springfield, taking the game 48-35.
Twin Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Brown out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Brown pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Dornburgh, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Woodstock had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They put the hurt on Stowe with a sharp 48-26 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Woodstock has posted yet this season.
Twin Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Woodstock, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Things could have been worse for Twin Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-40 loss to Woodstock in their previous meeting back in February of 2015. Can Twin Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
