Hazard came into Monday's match looking for another win against Breathitt County, but Austin Sperry wouldn't allow it. The Breathitt County Bobcats skirted past the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs 61-59 for which the team can thank Sperry, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 27 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Terry, who posted eight points and seven boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last four games he's played.

The win (which was Breathitt County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points over those games. As for Hazard, they moved to 30-3 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Breathitt County Bobcats duke it out with North Laurel Jaguars at 11:00 a.m. on March 27th. Breathitt County has given up an average of 57.4 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Hazard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
