There's no place like home for the University Christian Christians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past ED White with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 52-36. Given University Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while ED White is ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
University Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tacarri Neal, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanna Tatum, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
University Christian pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for ED White, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
University Christian will head out on the road to square off against Ponte Vedra at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for ED White, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Englewood at 6:00 p.m.
