The Pendleton Heights Arabians will face off against the Delta Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pendleton Heights is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Pendleton Heights took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Delta's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Jay County by a score of 6-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Ayden Mitchell was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April.
On the hitting side, Gavin Case made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
Delta's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Pendleton Heights, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-8.
