The Heritage Christian Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Burton Adventist Academy 64-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Heritage Christian Academy.
Heritage Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addelynn Reid out in front who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Reid has scored at least a third of Heritage Christian Academy's points. Sara Spangler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Burton Adventist Academy saw an underclassman step up: Anaiah Henderson almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Henderson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Davis, who scored six points along with two blocks.
Heritage Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Burton Adventist Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Heritage Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burton Adventist Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
