The Rosman Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They were dealt a 69-33 defeat at the hands of Mitchell. Rosman was down 65-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the loss, Rosman still got an impressive performance from Mason Meece, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 48.5% of Rosman's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Rosman's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Mitchell, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosman will take on NCSSM: Morganton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rosman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday. As for Mitchell, they will be playing at home against Unicoi County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Mitchell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches.
