Meanwhile, Michigan Lutheran Seminary fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Valley Lutheran on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The contest marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.
Noah Reif put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Reif was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Simeon Kober was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Eli Lewis was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
