Baseball Recap: Goffstown Extends Winning Streak to Four

Goffstown put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Spaulding Red Raiders. Considering the Grizzlies have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Goffstown's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Spaulding, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Goffstown will square off against rival Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Grizzlies 2, the Pioneers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Spaulding is set to take on their familiar foe Winnacunnet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
