Von Steuben had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it on Thursday as the team lost 7-8 to Phoenix Military Academy/Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
The loss dropped Von Steuben's record to 1-2. The win got Phoenix Military Academy/Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy out to a 1-0 start for the season.
Von Steuben will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Dunbar in two weeks at 3:00 PM. Phoenix Military Academy/Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Chicago Washington.
