The Nunamiut Amaguq had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 86-13 victory over Kali. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-1.
Nunamiut's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kevin Gordon led the charge by scoring 23 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Justus Mulcahy, who scored 16 points along with five steals.
Nunamiut's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kali, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Nunamiut will head out on the road to challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Kali does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
